This tool is best for hair that is only slightly damp. Apply a twist and lock gel or your regular styling gel to your slightly damp hair. You can also apply part of your styling product to the sponge. Use a sponge and move in a circular motion, avoiding excessive pressure on the hair. Turn in one direction only. Within minutes you will have a head with perfectly shaped rotations.
